Day to Night, created by Stephen Wilkes, is a compilation of stunning photos showing both the day and night scenes of landmarks from around the globe in one single photograph.
To achieve this mind blowing effect, Wilkes spends up to fifteen hours in a lift or other high place and takes around 14,000 photos. Starting early in the morning on a clear, calm day, and finishing well after dark with no breaks at all. After the photos are taken of one location, Wilkes spends months picking out elements from each of thousands of pictures that he wants to include in the final piece. The final result is of an incredible landscape photo showing the entire day of that location.
Wilkes has created this effect on many landmarks around the world, including the West Wall of Jerusalem, The Eiffel Tower, and all over New York City.
